National Eczema Association:
|
The Nation Eczema Society is an organization formed in 1975. It is an non-profit organization that takes donations a host marathons for Eczema. Their goal is to raise awareness for Eczema and give care to the ones that suffer from it. They help kids manage their eczema in school and raises awareness. Their main two missions is to: "provide people with independent and practical advice about treating and managing eczema; secondly, to raise awareness of the needs of those with eczema with healthcare professionals, teachers and the government". This organization also has a helpline to "provide support and guidance on eczema management and treatment."
I would definitely recommend this association to people because they give awareness, care, and hope to people suffering with Eczema. They're dedicated to improving the quality of people with Eczema. -Kiera http://www.eczema.org/ |
The mission for this organization is to improve the health and quality of life of individuals with eczema through research, support, and education. Their total income in 2013 was $988,123. They spend 83% or $627,287 on program expenses (their mission). They spend 9% or $64,360 on fundraising expenses, and they spend 8% or $60,106 on administrative expenses. This organization provides grants for patient-oriented research. They advocate for further government funds. The communicate research findings to patients and medical professionals. I would donate to this charity because even though its unrated, it has good use of its money. It uses the money mostly for its mission. I encourage people to donate to National Eczema Association.

British Skin Foundation
The British Skin Foundation was founded in 1996. In that time they've studied many skin diseases and how they function. This organization works on finding cures for skin diseases like Eczema. They're charity aims towards research, fundraising, campaigning, and raising awareness. They are funded through individual supporters, events, legacy gifts, and corporate funding. Sixty percent of British people currently suffer or have suffered from a skin disease at some point during their lifetime. Some skin conditions are manageable, others are severe enough to kill, and they want to change that. This foundation raises money to fund research for cures for skin disease and skin cancer. I recommend this organization, because they don't just raise money, but they use that money to fund their research for cures and they also help raise awareness this organization is the UK's only charity dedicated to skin research.
